halloween 2011

it was another fun year.

we went the farthest we ever have in our neighborhood.

and it was the latest night we've had so far.

john had to put some face paint on since everyone else was.
christopher's friend, ben, joined us this year.
they really got into their costumes...

and their teacher lives in our neighborhood.

there are so many teacher's in the area, 

we have had so much fun these last couple years going to their homes.

christopher looks so much like my brother, pat, in this picture...

the kids went to bed at 10:00 p.m.
ella's eyes were puffy this morning, she usually goes to bed @ 7:45.
i told her she could go back to bed, but she didn't want to miss school.
she didn't want to spend her recess making up the work if i took her to school late.
so, off she went.

the halloween parade at school is always so much fun.

this is the last year ella is in the parade:(

until she's in 5th grade and gets to choose a saint to dress up as.

these two like to dress the same...

ella is a tall girl, especially when she's next to one of the smaller girls...

i loved this costume.  his grandma made it for him.
his idea, and so she whipped it up.

the band played for the parade.
so glad these guys are a part of it...


the 6th graders got to paint their faces at their halloween party.
christopher's friend painted a unibrow on him, pretty funny...

the kids are already talking about what they are going to be next year.
fun times.
